Distance Pains
A Poem
Sadness sinks into my skin,
Running in rivulets unseen
Like rivers of water winding
Their way into every organ
And orifice in order to weigh
Me down and add a drag
To my days, not unlike the
Drag your plane will overcome
As it flies you away
From the airport parking lot
Where I sit with this sorrow
Flowing out from within
And carrying to the surface
My longing to see you again.

Lost In The Fog
I am not merry today. Made in god’s image am I? An image of form and substance That reflects light to be seen By all who comprehend it? If only to be seen and Receive attention was Enough.
The Little Moments
Wistfully wasting away the timeTo the sound of water splashing andYour exfoliating machine buzzing,While a splash of white foamRests on the rim of the toilet. My socks are different colorsAgain,As we repeat another cycleOf our beloved mediocrity. And I am honored
