A Drabble
A drabble is a short work of fiction, that is exactly one hundred words in length.
“How did it make me feel?” Tim scratched his head, “Pretty mad.”
He listened to the silent computer.
“They cut me off,” he explained, “I could’ve crashed, I almost died!”
He thought about it.
“I guess I shouldn’t have followed them home, but I just wanted to talk to them.”
Tim listened again.
“No, I ran out of meds, I can’t afford any more.”
He shrugged.
“Well, they’re both dead now. I can’t change that.”
The computer was off, the screen held his lonely reflection staring back at him.
A baby cried from another room.
“I couldn’t just leave it!”
