Eeeeek, Seb, this was so creepy, I loved it! lol The whole “you have been chosen” thing gave me instant chills, but then the faces in the walls? NOPE. No, thank you! And that ending with Travis waiting there for the rest of his life? Brutal. Creepy, tragic, and so unsettling. Great job!
What stayed with me most was not really the horror of the labyrinth itself, but the quiet tragedy waiting outside of it.
The maze feels less like a punishment and more like a slow erosion of orientation, where fear eventually replaces the ability to recognize oneself. And the ending leaves something heavier than terror behind: the image of someone continuing to wait long after the world has already decided the story is over.
I’m so glad you thought so. This was such a considerate comment, thank you for taking the time to read my work and to leave this review of its impact on you.

I really enjoyed this piece and obviously you would never make an ending that will not shatter my peace of mind (jk)……basically…..amazing 👏👏👏
I’m so happy to hear that. Thank you for reading Mihika and I’m glad that you enjoy the hopelessness of that ending as much as I do. 🥲
Another banger!! I really enjoy the way you describe things :)
