Riley looked at the page again.
Wrath…Greed…Envy…
Scanning it he came to a realization.
These are all the ego.
He read it again.
Sloth…gluttony…lust…pride…
He couldn’t escape the conclusion.
All seven sins are just the ego. All the cruelty in the world…it’s all…just the ego.
He stared down at his chest.
I have to get rid of it…
He reached for the knife on the counter.
I have to get rid of my ego.
He plunged it into his breast and began to cut.
Then I’ll truly be worthy of God’s heavenly love.
